Former 6Cyclemind Vocalist Ney Dimaculangan Wins an Awit Award Dec 12th 2012, 02:01 Former 6Cyclemind Vocalist Ney Dimaculangan Wins an Awit Award Ney Dimaculangan proudly holds the trophy he recently earned from Awit Awards that named him as this year's Best New Male Recording Artist for the song "Ligaw." Formerly known as 6cyclemind's vocalist, Ney is ready to venture into the music scene on his own. With 6cyclemind, he was able to release five highly-successful albums with chart-topping hits such as "Sandalan", "Sige", "Prinsesa", "Upside Down", "Magsasaya", "Kasalanan", and kung wala na nga among others. Ney also participated in special projects for both the movie and television industry, having penned songs included in the MMFF entry, "RPG Metanoia" ("Kaya Mo") and in ABS-CBN's top-rated teleserye, "Imortal" ("Walang Hanggan"), with the former winning the Best Theme Song award during the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival. His latest solo project, "Ney", under Star Records showcases Ney's versatility as a musician with all ten songs written, arranged, and produced by Ney himself. The album's carrier single, "Ligaw", is currently making its rounds on both radio stations and on music channel, Myx. Ney will soon be releasing his second single from his debut album.
