Aljur Abrenica Wishes to be Paired with Kylie Padilla on His Next Project
Nov 30th 2012, 10:08

Kapuso hunk Aljur Abrenica has earned positive feedbacks for his performance in the recently-concluded “Coffee Prince,” GMA-7′s local adaptation of the hit Koreanovela “The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince.”

“Coffee Prince,” Aljur’s reunion project with Kris Bernal, aired its final episode last November 23 over GMA-7's primetime block, completing a run that began October 8. The short stint ignited a rumor that the Kapuso hunk is transferring to ABS-CBN.

During a pocket presscon hosted by GMA Artist Center at the 17th floor of GMA Network Center on Tuesday, November 27, Aljur stopped the rumor by saying “Hindi totoo ‘yun.”

Cross-network pairings are getting popular lately. If ever he gets the chance, Aljur named two Kapamilya princesses that he would like to have the chance to be working with in the future.

And when it comes to his mother network, there’s only one name that the Kapuso hunk would love to be paired with in any kind of project: the apple of his eyes, Kylie Padilla.

Aljur recalled that on his first date with Kylie, he already introduced her to his parents.

“First date namin, family eh, family ko ipinakilala ko sa kanya, as in family talaga,” he said.

However, the Kapuso hunk admitted that his romance with Robin Padilla‘s daughter is filled with obstacles. The first obvious challenge is religion: Kylie is a Moslem while he is Roman Catholic.

Kaya mahirap talaga,” he shared.

So are you willing to fight for Kylie without changing your religion?

However, Aljur is not close to the idea of changing his religious affiliation.

Sa ngayon, di ko kaya,” he said.

It looks like Aljur’s wish to work with Kylie will have to wait as he was told that on his next project, a teleserye, Sarah Lahbati will become his new leading lady.

As for the big screen, he is set to star in the Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Sossy Problems” alongside Heart Evangelista, Bianca King, Solenn Heussaff, Mikael Daez, Benjamin Alves and Rhian Ramos.

He is also set to appear in the Robin Padilla-starrer “Kuratong Baleleng” and the GMA Films horror movie, “Basement.”
