Despite being beaten by Timothy Bradley last June, Juan Manuel Marquez remains Manny Pacquiao‘s greatest rival. On December 8, the Mexican fighter and our Pambansang Kamao will face again for the fourth time.
Although Timothy Bradley beat Pacquiao last June, boxing fans around the globe were not convinced. We all know our Pambansang Kamao won that bout fair and square, it just so happened that the judges have seen otherwise. That’s why we still consider Juan Manuel Marquez as Pacquiao’s toughest competitor, ever, because the two boxers have fought three times since 2005, but none of these bouts were unanimous.
On December 8, Pacquiao will face Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. I’m still optimistic that our Pambansang Kamao will emerge victorious but the fight is not going to be an easy one.
Despite the fact that Manny Pacquiao put the Philippines on the map for being the first eight-division world boxing champion, he has been criticized for joining showbiz and politics and has received flak for a number of issues on his personal life. But he still carried on despite these setbacks which is why he is a constant source of inspiration to Filipinos all over the world.
And the best thing about Pacman is that, he draws strength from the fact that his purpose is to bring honor to the country and that alone makes him one of the most admirable Filipinos of today, an epitome of positivity and strength. The best example of #PositibongLakas.
Needless to say, Pacman needs our support. He always dedicate his fights to each and every Filipinos who are also facing their own battles, big and small, everyday. His outlook in life teaches us a lesson to always think positive and to let go of the negativity that slows us down or stops us from accomplishing our goals.
This is what #PositibongLakas is all about.
So why not show your support to the People’s Champ in the simplest thing that we can do. Just proceed to the #PositibongLakas photo on Facebook and click “LIKE.” You can also show your admiration to Pacquiao by tweeting messages of support via @stingph and using the hashtag #PositibongLakas, and also posting comments on the Sting Facebook Page.
We know it’s a small thing to do but its the gesture that counts. It’s way of telling the world that we Pinoys love to support our own, in one way or another.
