Broadcast journalist Karen Davila examines one of the many personal debt cases filed and tried in barangay courts everyday tomorrow (Jan 15) in "Pinoy True Stories: Engkwentro."
Karen looks into the case filed by Lydia Alcovindas-Salvador against Bimboy Orquiales, who borrowed P5,000 from her in July last year. Bimboy has only managed to cough up P1,000 and has since gone into hiding.
Biboy has left Lydia worse off for failing to settle the full balance of his debt in due time, which resulted in Lydia missing the deadline for payment of her children's discounted enrolment fees in December.
While Lydia's husband struggle to make ends meet everyday, Bimboy has allegedly gotten hooked on gambling. Will Bimboy face his responsibility of paying off the money he owes Lydia?
Watch their clash unfold in "Pinoy True Stories: Engkwentro" with Karen Davila tomorrow (Jan 15), 4:45 PM sa Kapamilya Gold. Para sa updates ng parehong programa, sundan ang @PinoyTruStories sa Twitter.
