Ex-Beauty Queen Sentenced in Prison for Committing First Degree Murder Feb 17th 2013, 13:15 Ex-Beauty Queen Sentenced in Prison for Committing First Degree Murder Ex-beauty queen Peggy Sue Thomas was sentenced to 4 years in prison for her role in the slaying of former colleague's husband Russell Douglas in 2003. The former Ms. Washington pleaded guilty to rendering criminal assistance in the first degree with her then-boyfriend, James Huden, of a murder of Douglas who was found shot to death in his car in Freeland, Whidbey Island, two days after Christmas 2003. Huden, on the other hand, was convicted of first degree murder and was sentenced to 80 years in prison.
