The 85th Oscars is already set on February 24, 2013.
This year, the producers are going to cut out the boring parts of the awards ceremony.
Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said that they have identified the 15 or 30 seconds unnecessary moments that can bog the show, cut it and created more time for performance and entertainment.
Zadan and Meron said they have moments planned that should appeal to all ages and interests, including performances by Adele, Norah Jones and Barbra Streisand and a tribute to the James Bond franchise.
Seth Macfarlane, creator of “Family Guy” and 2012′s R-rated comedy hit movie, “Ted”, will host this year’s 85th Academy Awards.
Those who attended the Oscar luncheon were acting nominees Denzel Washington, Sally Field, Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro.
Despite being snubbed of acting and directing nominations, Ben Affleck got a best picture nomination as a producer of the film, “Argo.”
