"Juan dela Cruz" Pilot Episode Ruled Primetime Ratings
The premiere telecast of ABS-CBN's newest fantaserye "Juan dela Cruz" ruled the national TV ratings on Monday.
Based on the latest data of Kantar Media/TNS, the show's pilot episode registered a 36.5% nationwide rating, beating GMA7's fantaseries Indio which garnered a rating of 16.5%.
While on AGB Nielsen, the Coco Martin starrer posted a 24.2% ratings among Mega Manila households putting it to third spot behind another ABS-CBN program Ina Kapatid Anak (28.2%) and GMA-7's Temptation of Wife (24.7%).
Billed as the biggest "teleserye" of the Kapamilya network this year, "Juan dela Cruz" tells the story of Juan as he struggles to find his real identity. He later takes hold of a holy cross - which shifts into four different weapons - enabling him to fight the forces of evil.
Joining Coco in the series are Zsa Zsa Padilla, Albert Martinez, Joel Torre, Aaron Villaflor, Gina Pareño and Erich Gonzales.
