New ABS-CBN 'Umaganda', 'Primetanghali' Lineup
Kapamilya viewers can look forward to a fresh lineup of Kapamilya offerings during ABS-CBN's daytime block starting Monday, january 14, as two new shows join the top-rating series topbilled by Jodi Sta. Maria.
Starting Monday (January 14), "Be Careful With My Heart" and the reality cooking show "MasterChef: Pinoy Edition" will be joined by the Philippine edition of the popular game show "Minute to Win It" and the Korean drama "You're Still the One."
The latest in ABS-CBN's "Asianovela" offerings tells the story of a married couple, Nelson and Susan, whose desperate need to free him from imprisonment puts their relationship to a test.
A woman from Nelson's past, Sheryn, vows to help him be freed from jail, on the condition that he will marry her and fake his divorce with Susan.
The love triangle will unfold weekdays at 9:45 a.m. starting Monday. It will be followed by "MasterChef: Pinoy Edition" at 10:15 a.m.
Meanwhile, celebrities will join host Luis Manzano in the pilot week of "Minute to Win It".
Comedienne-actress Ai Ai delas Alas will put her skills to the test on Monday, for a chance to win P1 million. Also set to try their luck next week are actress Cristine Reyes, singer Rico J. Puno, actress Maja Salvador, actor Zanjoe Marudo, comedienne K Brosas, at Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup.
Like its American counterpart - the game show has been franchised in 40 countries so far - "Minute to Win It" will have contestants take part in a series of challenges that utilize everyday items seen at home, in school or at the office.
Each challenge should be completed in less than a minute. The increasing difficulty of the challenges corresponds to a bigger cash prize every round. The goal: the jackpot prize of P1 million.
"Minute to Win It" will air weekday mornings at 11 a.m., starting Monday. The game show will be followed by "Be Careful with My Heart".
Now on its new 11:45 a.m. timeslot, the Kapamilya "kilig-serye" continues to tell the story of aspiring flight attendant Maya (Sta. Maria), who leaves the province for Manila to pursue her dreams.
Her life plan takes a detour when she becomes the maid of the family of single dad and businessman Richard Lim (Yap), for whom she later develops romantic feelings.
The noontime variety program "It's Showtime", meanwhile, will air at 12:30 p.m. starting next week.
