Dingdong Dantes Transferring to ABS-CBN. Truth or Denied?
Denied. Says he is happy with GMA-7.
In an interview on the set of his primetime series on GMA-7 – "Pahiram ng Sandali" – Kapuso royalty Dingdong Dantes belied rumors that he is negotiating for a possible transfer to another network after his contract with GMA-7 expires.
Although Dingdong did not expound on the terms of his existing contract with the kapuso network and the duration of its validity, he gave the assurance that his contract with GMA-7 is still very much active and that he is still very much a kapuso.
It is not the first time that rumors have circulated in the past about the actor possibly moving to another network. The speculations even gained more ground this time when the actor recently appeared in a movie produced by the other network. But Dingdong himself says that he is still happy being a kapuso. He also said that he, personally, is not negotiating with the other network.
Meanwhile, Dindong spends most of his time taping for "Pahiram ng Sandali," which is nearing the end of its very successful run. He says he is enjoying the experience especially because he gets to work with veteran actors like Lorna Tolentino and Christopher de Leon, whom he praises for his professionalism.
"Isa sa mga paborito kong eksena ay yung eksena ko with Mr. Christopher de Leon. Siya ang masasabi kong pinaka-accurate na artistang nakatrabaho ko. Mula sa rehearsal hanggang sa final take e saktong sakto ang dinedeliver niya na acting at lines, walang labis, walang kulang kaya hangang-hanga ako sa kaniya," the actor said.
In the series, Dingdong plays the role of Alex, a budding photojournalist who ends up having an illicit affair with his much senior boss Janice (Lorna Tolentino) who is married to Phillip (Christopher de Leon). A love triangle forms when Janice and Phillip's daughter Cindy (Max Collins) falls in love with Alex (Dingdong Dantes).
How will the characters go about this conundrum? Find that out in "Pahiram ng Sandali" airing weeknights on GMA Telebabad.
