MTRCB Puts Party Pilipinas on 6 Months Probation; Asks GMA-7 to Issue Public Apology
The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has placed "Party Pilipinas" - GMA-7's Sunday musical variety show - on a six-month probation due to the sexually-charged scenes in Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino's dance number on the show's January 27 episode.
While on probation, Party Pilipinas shall be placed on a per-episode basis which means that any violation of the MTRCB rules, laws, and regulations would mean placing the program off air without prejudice to other sanctions.
MTRCB, through its Chairman Eugenio Villareal, also asked GMA-7 to apologize on-air using a full screen video on February 10 Sunday. In addition, the same public apology shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation on or before February 9.
