The producers of internationally-acclaimed and groundbreaking films such as "Confessional", "Rome & Juliet", "Yanggaw", and "Damgo ni Eleuteria" are now looking for new brave, bold and original stories for the ninth installment of the annual independent film festival, Cinema One Originals.
Just like last year, the fest will be divided into two categories: “Cinema One Plus”, composed of seasoned directors awarded with a two million production budget each and “Cinema One Currents”, composed of new breeds awarded with a one million budget each.
Filmmakers who aspire to be included in the fest must submit the following requirements before January 15 (Tuesday): Accomplished entry form with 2×2 recent photo, complete script of a full-length narrative feature and sequence treatment (must be a Filipino story), resume and filmography, description of production team, and portfolio of previous works in DVD format. Submit these to the Cinema One office located at 8th flr., ELJ Communications Center, Eugenio Lopez Drive, ABS-CBN Quezon City. Cinema One Originals Festival is one of the biggest and most prestigious festivals in the country with award-winning films such as "Imburnal", "Six Degrees Separation From Lilia Cuntapay" and "Palitan" to name a few and commercial films such as "Paano Ko Sasabihin" and "Slumber Party". Winners from the past years have achieved local and global recognition; many of them have been nominated and won awards in various film festivals worldwide. This year's chosen films will be showcased during the festival on November 2013.
