What could only be a mother's nightmare happened to "Madel" when her seven-year old son disappeared after telling her he would be playing outside. He never came back.
Tomorrow (Jan 16 ) in "Pinoy True Stories: Saklolo," join ABS-CBN reporters Maan Macapagal and Dominic Almelor as they recount the story of Madel, who found out her child was kidnapped after her ex-husband received a text message that said their son would be killed if they failed to pay out P20,000.
Madel, who could barely get by financially, was asked by the kidnapper to deposit the ransom at a money transfer outlet or he would kill the child. At this point, Madel sought help from the National Bureau of Investigation operatives, who monitored money transfer outlets at which the kidnapper might claim the money.
Apart from staging the kidnapping incident, an expert also recommends measures parents can take so their children will not be kidnapped and what to do when their child has been kidnapped.
Don't miss "Pinoy True Stories: Saklolo" tomorrow (Jan 16) on ABS-CBN, 4:45 PM in Kapamilya Gold. For updates on the two programs, follow @PinoyTruStories on Twitter.
