Pilipinas Global Network Limited (PGN Limited), the international business arm of TV5, recently announced the line-up of popular TV5 dramas sold to several countries across the globe. PGN Limited has only started overseas program distribution in mid-2011 and has since distributed TV5's top series in key territories in Asia and Africa.
TV5's hit primetime series The Poor Heiress (Babaeng Hampaslupa), Roses and Thorns (Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak) and Glamorosa top the list of drama programs airing on free-television in Cambodia, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Malawi and Nigeria. Dubbed in English, the series are performing well in their early evening primetime slots and have received positive response from viewers. With the success of these shows, viewers from the said countries are clamoring for more TV5 drama series. Plans to distribute suspense thriller Third Eye and the popular eco-fantasy series Enchanted Garden are already underway.
"We are proud that TV5 programs are in demand in other countries. TV5 dramas are known for their high quality production and compelling love stories while staying true to core Filipino family values. These are qualities that are greatly appreciated by the global audience," says Reena de Guzman Garingan, PGN Limited's head of Sales & Business Development. Garingan also added that the international audience appreciates the world-class talents of award-winning stars in the Kapatid artist roster like Alice Dixson, Lorna Tolentino, and Nora Aunor.

This 2013, programs like Valiente, PS I Love You, Felina the Cat Princess, Handful of Tears (Isang Dakot na Luha), My Brother, the Hoodlum (Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum), In the Name of the Mother (Sa Ngalan ng Ina), Enchanted Garden, and Third Eye will be available in various languages and distributed all over Asia and Africa .
