Gerald Anderson and Cristine Reyes portray childhood friends who vow to end up together in ABS-CBN’s newest Primetime Bida offering.
The two prized Kapamilya stars revealed parts of the love story of the upcoming romance-drama series “Bukas Nalang Kita Mamahalin” at the sidelines of the cast’s pictorial held Friday.
In the Kapamilya soap, childhood friends Amanda (Reyes) and Miguel (Anderson) temporarily part as she leaves to stay in another country.
“Pag balik ko, ki-neep namin ‘yung promise namin ni Gerald na magiging magkasintahan kami,” Reyes said.
Their sweet reunion is cut short however, as Miguel lands behind bars. This motivates Amanda to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer, in the hope of helping free the man she loves.
“Habang na sa kulungan siya, ako ‘yung palaging nagga-guide sa kanya, nagsu-support sa kanya, and ako ‘yung isa sa mga pinagkukuhanan niya ng lakas ng loob,” Reyes said.
“Hindi siya typical na love story lang kasi ang daming involved. Very challenging ‘yung role for me,” the actress added.
Also starring Maricel Soriano and Dina Bonnevie, “Bukas Nalang Kita Mamahalin” will premiere soon on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida block.
