Despite his falling out with Sarah Geronimo months ago, Gerald Anderson said he still considers the singer-actress as a special person in his life.
"Oo naman [special pa rin si Sarah sa akin]. Hindi magbabago 'yun. Oo naman, oo naman. Kung baga, siyempre naman, siyempre naman. Sobra akong masaya sa mga pagkakataon na nakasama ko siya," Gerald said in a taped interview aired on "The Buzz" on Sunday.
The actor added that he has no regrets about courting Sarah.
"I know na hindi siya nag-reach to its full potential, pero ang saya ko, sobrang saya ko, sobrang privileged ako dahil nagkaroon ako ng pagkakataon na makilala siya," he said, adding that becoming close to Sarah is one of the "pinakamasayang moments ng 2012."
Rumors circulated early this year that Sarah's parents, particularly Mommy Divine, did not approve of Gerald for the singer-actress.
When asked if he finds Sarah's parents too strict, Gerald said: "Ganun talaga. Siyempre, anak nila 'yun eh. Kung baga, it's only normal na maging ganun 'yung reaction.
"Siguro naman totoo rin 'yung sinasabi nila na there's always a right time for everything. Ayaw mo ring pilitin. Pero 'yung kay Mommy Divine, 'yung dad ni Sarah, lahat, normal 'yun."
Gerald and Sarah's short-lived romance was hailed by "The Buzz" as "The Most Talked About Love Story" for 2012.
