Ray Collins Dies at 75 Dec 28th 2012, 09:34 Ray Collins Dies at 75 Former Mothers of Invention singer Ray Collins died on Monday, December 24, at age 75. Collins was admitted to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center on December 18 after he was found unresponsive in the driver seat of his car due to a massive heart attack. He had been in a medically induced coma until Saturday, when he was taken off life support. His famous hits include "Absolutely Free," "Cruising With Ruben and the Jets," and "We're Only in it for the Money".
