In the pages of the said issue, released on Wednesday, Parker's series-ending battle in which he was defeated by his his terminally ill arch-nemesis Doctor Octopus was revealed in details. But is this really the end for Peter Parker's journey as a Superhero? According to writer Dan Slott, The Amazing Spider-Man series will be relaunched in January 2013 as "Superior Spider-Man," with Doctor Octopus taking over as the web slinger superhero.
