Australian DJs of the hoax call scandal declared they were heartbroken Dec 11th 2012, 12:23 Michael Christian and Mel Greig, Australian DJs involved in hoax call scandal The two Australian DJs involved the in the prank call  scandal that led to the death of nurse, Jacintha Saldahna  broke their silence on the hoax call scandal and declared that they were shocked, shattered and heartbroken.  Mel Greig and Michael Christian offered their apologies to the family of Jacintha Saldanha but insisted that it was a harmless prank. The station said that they tried to call the hospital five times prior to the pre-recorded prank call was broadcast, but the hospital denied receiving any call from the station. Mel Greig said that , ” 'I'm so sorry for the family. I can't imagine what they are going through. We are thinking of you. 'If we played any involvement in her death then we're very sorry for that. We couldn't foresee what was going to happen in the future. 'If we could call you, we would. We want to reach out to you … if only we could turn the clock back.' source:  Daily Mail
